Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only minor issue is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. best automatic vacuum goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has numerous features that make it a great option for busy families. 4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available and comes with many additional features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are many choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
